Internet Explorer 9 has just developed the habit of always hanging up when I try to go to the ebay (UK) signin page (https://signin.ebay.co.uk...).
What actually happens is that I get a dialog box. Caption is Internet Explorer Security. Text reads:
A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer:
Name: Silverlight.configuration.exe
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation.
Followed by Allow and Don't Allow buttons. The problem is this dialog appears not to have the input focus so I cannot click on either button. The only way I have found to get out of this is to use Task Manager to kill Internet Explorer.
I can use, and sign in to, ebay no problem using Firefox.
IE9 details: Version 9.0.8112.16421. Update versions: 9.0.4 (KB261844)
Windows version: Windows 7 Home Premium.
Should I just uninstall Silverlight (never quite sure what that does for me anyway)? Any other suggestions?
