Setting the tooltips show time

Dear Sir,

 I am a web developer and I have a question about setting of IE8.
 if I designed a tooltips in my web site. However, the IE will make the tooltips disappear in 5 sec.

 Is it IE Behavior???
 if yes, Is there any setting that can set in IE which can make the tooltips show longer???
