My company has 21 stores and each store has upwards of 3-4 computers. We are not running windows server. We made the mistake early of setting up one account on each machine, as administrator. We are in-process, as the computers get restored or replaced of setting up two accounts, one administrator and one standard user.
In the mean-time, if an employee downloads/installs an app, usually spyware/virus, is there a way via the event logs or some other log to see the timestamps of everytime something is downloaded? Also, does windows generate a log of all installed applications with timestamps? My final question, is there a way to view the IE history with timestamps? I realize I'm throwing a lot of questions out here but all of these will help identify the employees responsible.
