Locking or Sticking a WebPage

Hi everyone,

Given the terms I want to use to describe my question I found it very difficult to find an answer.

The issue I have is I am accidentally bumpinga mouse button (which happens to be a 'Back' command within Internet Explorer) while reading a web page or listening to chat in a forum.  In other words I'm hitting 'Back' accidentally.  Also, not just this habit of mine, but what cautionary features have been written to protect against this?  What if you were involved in important work on the web, what commands or software is there to Lock a webpage, making it impossible to go 'Back' or 'Forward' accidentally

Given the nature of these terms, "Lock" and "Stick" I could not search for this topic as it lead me to the classic Web Page Freezign problems and not this particular one which I'm trying to describe.

:)  THanks!
