Recently started getting script error on certain emails - need debugging help

I'm using Windows Live mail client, with IE9 browser on a Win7 64-bit platform.  Just recently, some particular service emails started popping up "script error" windows when trying to view the messages.  I suspect a recent Windows update, hotfix, or something as causing the problem rather than the actual email content (which I don't believe has changed recently).

The error pop-ups report a "Syntax error" with Char "1" on Line xxx with Code "0".  The URL: is reported as "wlmailhtml:{F5A6_long hex string}mid://00000002/" or something similar.  To me the URL looks more like a registry key than a URL.

I have captured and analyzed the email's html source code and can't find any pertinent content beyond an initial <script type="text/javascript" callout.  I have downloaded and analyzed the referenced "js" source file and can't spot anything there that looks like a syntax error in the lines referenced in the error report pop-ups.

I can't find any references to "wlmailhtml" anything in either the html source or the referenced java script.  So I'm struggling to figure out what the reported script errors are all about.

Also, oddly I have the script debugging and reporting options disabled in my browser settings anyway, so not sure why the email reader is even telling me about them to begin with.  I have to click "NO" on the "continue running scripts" pop-up to get them to go away and display the email - very annoying.

Thanks for any suggestions!
