Petition: Support IE10 on Windows Vista

What is the reason for Microsoft not supporting a modern OS like Windows Vista with IE10? With the Platform Update released in 2009 for Vista SP2, it is equivalent to Windows 7 almost API wise. For XP, there was a technical reason for not supporting IE9 which was that DirectX 10 technologies and other technologies IE9 takes advantage of weren't available on XP. But there is no reason for NOT supporting IE10 on Windows Vista.

I know Windows Vista just exited mainstream support but Windows 8 is not even released yet, so Windows 7 is the CURRENT release. It's logical to support the CURRENT release, which is Windows 7 and another preceding it.

If IE9 can run on Vista, so can IE10. I think MS just doesn't want to support Vista because everyone hates it and it wants to put it behind them.

Microsoft's loss is their competitors' gain. All other browsers support XP and above and on XP and Vista, they will get more popular. If this trend of dropping one OS for every IE release continues, Windows 7 users will also see dropping of support with IE11. Which is ridiculous.

Back in the old days when Microsoft didn't make such business decisions to support only latest OS, IE was supported for far more downlevel OSes.

So please release IE10 for Vista SP2.
