This is probably a cross product issue, but since the symptom is presenting in IE that is why I posted under this forum.
I opened my history (view by order visited today) and found many entries to html files starting with a GUID located in the temporary internet files folder\{guid}\{guid}.html
After finding this files and opening one in notepad I found that they are the same files listed under this posting: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/officeitpro/thread/745e6212-8d34-41fe-b3b1-948c8d236910
The files have something to do with outlook's social connectors it seems but I have questions:
1) Why do these show up in IE9 now? Granted it had been a while since I opened my history list so I don't know how long these have shown up.
2) Is there a way to make sure they don't show up? This is more for my users than myself since I will just ignore them, but this will probably "scare" some users if they notice them.
3) I should ask if my guess at what creates these folders and files is really outlook social connector. I can post contents of one of the files or you can review posting I linked to above which has them included there.
I will ping support if that is a better route to getting answers.
Thank you.
