IE8 isn't displaying Facebook

I have this problem in a few other websites but this one is the most known one :)
I need to use IE8 for my college website that isn't compatible on Chrome but apparently it's not showing up on IE either.
I'll show the problem at the Facebook webpage in hope the solution will help me for my college site as well. it's in hebrew so it'll probably won't help if i'll link to it.

The problem at the Facebook page, besides that I can only see the header is that I can't click any of the icons on the left side. (notifications/inbox/friend requests).
On the right side, the icons are clickable but I end up in another blank page with only the Facebook menu.
Here's a picture to demonstrate:

There's no yellow exclamation mark on the bottom.
Java and Flash are installed and updated.
I tried installing again, downgrading to IE7 (didn't help) and after getting back to IE8 I reset the settings (didn't help) and even followed a tutorial about deleting the IE registry entries and it still hasn't helped!
I'm using Windows XP Home edition with SP2.
It definitely used to work a few months ago, I have no clue what happened.
I installed Comodo firewall (but tried to disable it - didn't help) and also tried disabling my Anti-Virus and it didn't help either.

I'm really desperate right now as i'll need my college page on a daily basis and  it only work with IE. for Facebook I can use Chrome but I only used it in the picture so you'll see the problem in a well known site.

Hope you could help me, Thanks a bunch. :))
