Microsoft itself needs to provide adblocking in IE if they hope for anyone to keep using this browser. I switched to Chrome even though I like IE 9 much better, simply because I can quickly and easily install a free adblock extension. This is no different
than when pop-up blockers first came out and everyone wanted one. For most people, one broswer is no different than the other, but free adblocking on Chrome and Firefox against paid-for adblocking that isn't as good for IE means no one is going to use IE.
