We have upgraded to IE 9 and a handful of machines will not open an activex control that we use for document splitting and viewing. Our environment is Windows 7 Sp1. 90% of the machines have no trouble after the upgrade to IE9 and reinstalling the activex controls in question. I have confirmed that the activex is installed and activated so not sure why some machines are having issues loading this control. Not sure if its a .NET issue or an adobe activex issue, because i do notice before receiving the error that an Adobe PDF icon appears and then errors out with this error. I have set the ActiveX settings exactly the same on our working computers. Rolling back to IE 8 on the troubled computers fixes the issue. Also have removed IE 9 and tried an older installer of IE 9 but no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
