IE 8 Group Policy and Facebook Like button

Hi,

I implemented facebook like button for my department's website. It works great except it doesn't work if you click the button using IE8 through our office computers (locally - local network). When you click the button, facebook login windows popup. After you login, you will be redirected to blank page with facebook header on top. No information is posted on the facebook wall. The facebook counter doesn't increase too. Is it one of the setting on IE8 or group policy causing this problem?

Here is my attempt to isolate the problem:

1. I created file called fbtest.html (a basic html--> html, head, title, body) and inserted the facebook like button script generated from facebook developer website. I placed the file on our Windows server.

2. I tested on several computers at my office, The like button works fine using Firefox, Safari, IE 7 but failed on IE 8 only which as I describe the problem above.

3. I asked my friends help (from their home or office - not related to my department) to try it using IE8. The button works fine.

3. I posted the same files on different servers(my windows vista personal server and my friend's linux server). I click the buttons from those servers using my office computers and it works fine.

What makes the facebook button fails for those who use IE 8 in my office? It doesn't work internally but it works fine from outside. We are using Windows environment.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
