WHY MYSTERIOUS, Repeating System Corruption After Internet Use?

I’ve had an ongoing and perplexing problem for over two weeks now. It seems after a period of time of using the computer and the internet, my system begins getting corrupted by something.

1) It starts with text and graphic areas on both Internet Explorer screens and OS screens that begin to blank out and/become corrupted. Not the whole screen mind you but just inconsistent and random parts. I can be looking at a website or my email and parts begin to disappear, and reappear with no pattern. Sometimes clickable areas will respond and sometimes not.

2) On the Windows desktop screen, the bottom task bar area can become blank and unresponsive. The minimized sessions text can disappear but the rectangle outlines remain. Sometimes the word Start would be gone but the rectangle there.  With START, a click may display the resulting window partially blank. When I click  Turn Off Computer, the result can be a corrupted screen with only the circular colors, but no text, of StandBY, TurnOff, Restart. Sometimes I can click on the colored item and it will work. At other times I must pull the power plug. Early on I would also find 3-10 strange icons added to my desktop after rebooting back on.  They had large squares at the top with a series of small empty squares underneath.

3) When I take an action, I sometimes get windows with messages such as "The application failed to initialize properly", "The Paging File is to small for the operation", "Insufficient resources exist to complete requested services", "Not enough guota is available to complete the command". This and the way things get blanked out and corrupted sounds like some storage problem but my RAM and two disk drives appear sound with a lot a fee space.

4) I’m out of ideas. I have run an AVAST full system scan with no problems found. I have ran a Norton virus scan with no problems. I have used Microsofts’ Milicious Software Remover full system scan that checks for 220 viruses with none found. I ran windows CKDSK program against my disks with no problem. I’m wondering if there could be something wrong with Internet Explorer storage management. I regularly clean out my Internet and System temp storage space. I’ve used minitoolbox to check for application and system errors after the problem occurs. Twice the result mentioned system resources which I’ve listed below.

5) THERE IS ONE SURE CURE. After I reboot, everything works and looks fine for 15min--2hours before problems begin. What is reboot doing to temp fix things? It appears to be resetting something but what and why is that something going wrong?

Any ideas/help would be appreciated, Larry
