Click Once - Error Message "Die angegebene Umwandlung ist ungültig" ("The specified cast is not valid")
Hi Together,
when I start my click once installation on my client computer, reports directly the error message "The specified cast is not valid". The click once technology write into his directory "C:\Users\[your user account name]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0". But only the directorys! The OS is Windows Vista.
The whole message is:

What have I checked until now:
- check space on HD, - check msiexec version, - check firewall settings, - which Internetzone in use, - check security software, - check tasks, - check IIS Log, - delete usrclass.dat, - use ip instead of dns name, - in regedit delete the entry "ProfileList", and delete the accordingly directory, - check the "User Account control", - OS snap shot from the system to recover an old os version is not turned on, ...
All without access. The problem remains.

Two particular Websites are extremely slow on two computers at a branch office but not at the main office HQ.
I have two people in a branch office who logon to two sites on a daily basis. The first web site is
https://login.avidxchange.net and the second web site is
www.fedex.com which becomes
https://www.fedex.com/shipping/shipEntryAction.do?method=doEntry&locale=en_us&urlparams=us&sType=F once they logon. Both of these sites are said to be painfully slow to logon and refresh. I have observed this first hand via my remote access software. The same sites are much faster when accessed from the corporate office. I have contacted support at the first site https://login.avidxchange.net and they said things are fine at their end and I need to check for Spyware on these computers. I scanned with MBAM and came up with nothing.
The computers are Windows 7 Professional SP1 + Security Updates. They load set is the same for these computers at the branch office and the computers at the corporate HQ (both IE8) except for a postage mailing app called Dazzle. Other computers (both Windows 7 SP1 + Security Updates and Windows XP) at the same site are said to be much faster at loading these web sites.
We route all traffic from the branch site through our firewall here at the corporate HQ and then out to the internet. What is the best way to tackle this problem to identify the culprit for the slowdown of these two sites?

How to get IE9 to stop crashing when attempting to play a youtube video [from facebook]
#1 youtube videos play normally when viewing from IE9 directly.
#2 youtube videos play normally when viewing [in Facebook, using Opera,Google Chrome, and Firefox browsers] without crashing.
Adobe Flash player is current version for all browsers. This crash only happens in IE9. Doesnt matter if 32 or 64 bit browser is used, both will crash about 80% of the time when attempting to access a youtube video from the Facebook page.
Hardware acceleration is enabled and i do not wish to lose the advantage of using it by turning it off. Opera, Google Chrome, Firefox all play the videos in Facebook 100% of the time , using hardware acceleration.My computer is virus scanned and malware scanned on a daily basis as well as using C-Cleaner.
I am not looking for temporary solution to the problem, as i have other browsers that will work. Again, this problem only occurs when trying to access Youtube video that is linked to Facebook.
I have always used IE as my default browser and would like to continue doing so.

IE 9 - DNS prioritisation
Hi,
Does any know if there have been any alterations in Internet Explorer 9 and the way it resolves DNS queries, specifically DNS prioritisation?
We use DNS prioritisation in our environment to ensure users connect to their local server depending on what subnet they are in. When running Windows 7 with IE8 all http requests resolve correctly and are consistent with ping and nslookup. However when running Windows 7 with IE9 http requests result in inconsistence results and do not match ping and nslookup.
Our DNS servers are running Windows Server 2003 and have Round Robin disabled. Our Windows 7 clients all have the following registry key to ensure DNS prioritisation is used.
I can provide you with further details on our environment but thought it would be worth asking the question in case there is a similar key for IE9 although I have yet to find one after extensive searching online.

IE9
Windows 7 Professional, 64bit, 24 gigs ram, Yes I have checked the memory.
IE 9 crashes and will sometimes take the whole system with it. I have reinstalled IE9 checked memory run a multitude of diagnostic and done a complete wipe of the Hard Drive and install of the OS. Reset bios settings and have the latest bios P6X58D P.

IE 8 and XP Pro 64 Bit
I have XP Pro 64 bit and IE8 64 bit installed on my system. When I surf to Microsoft Updates page it won't allow me to Download Updates with the Browser I have. It tells me that it needs to Open a 32 bit version of IE8 in order to run the Microsoft Updates search? My system XP Pro 64 bit does not allow the installation of a 32 bit version of IE8. Anyone out there know of a FiX for this problem? Please let me know!

IE 9 stops working.
I've already disabled my add-ons and my Internet Explorer still stops working and I have to use clt-alt-delete just to get back online, what can I do to fix this problem. Also, I have use the fix-it app and it detects that I have no problems. My internet
stopped working even while typing this question to you.

IE 9
Until a couple of weeks ago I had no issues with IE 9. Now, the program will not display a merchant link or hyperlink on a web page. Can any one tell me how to resolve the issue? I can't get any support from MS.

From my start button, to internet explorer then to downloads. I try to open my downloads but nothing opens. I have tried to save and re-open else where but still can't seem to open my downloads. Have reinstalled internet explorer 9

Print preview of Google maps does not open, unless ...
I have Internet Explorer 9 on a Windows 7 64 bit relatively new computer. Things were working normally for months but then when I load a Google map and try print preview, the screen freezes and nothing happens. However, when I select Control-Alt-Delete
and then Cancel, the web page loads and I can print. This does not happen in other browsers. I did a reset of IE9 and that did not help.

Streaming internet TV from IE9 to my DLNA TV
So I've got my whole network wired together and I am able to stream videos from my Win7 PC to my DLNA TV, but.
I like internet TV, it's TV content the way I like it. I want to be able to send it to my DLNA TV. But I just cannot find a way to send the streaming media from IE9 over to my DLNA TV.
Is there anyway? It's just so disappointing in this day and age....

All my shortcuts to the groups are set up without the /Threads. But this is the only one that behaves differently between the two addresses.
What sorts of things could cause the second form of the address to be redirected like that?

Internet Explorer 9 Issue
Running IE 9 on 64 bit Toshiba Satellite with Win 7. Often have issues with opening a link or .pdf file--IE9 opens a new tab and shows a blank page. I have to go back to original link and copy shortcut, paste into new tab before getting it to display...works sometimes. FYI have both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of IE 9 on the system...the 64 bit version operates properly, just the 32 bit version not operating right. Tried resetting the default IE to the 64 bit version however, apparently Win 7 won't allow that--only 32 bit can be the default. (Sounds pretty dumb!). Basically its a real pain that I've been putting up with for months, but grown tired of it. Tried re-installing 32 bit, but it says I'm trying wrong version of IE9, so I try 64 bit version and it says I have a more current version installed. Appreciate any and all assistance in getting this fixed.

IE9 unable to open pdfs
Whenever I try to open a pdf with internet explorer 9, I get the messeage Runtime Error. Program:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe. I can open pdfs using Chrome. All My pdf add_on’s are enabled.(Reader link Helper add on). I am using Adobe Pro. I have run an adobe repair process.I have tried uninstalling IE 9 (which defaults to IE8) and still have this problem. I’m using Windows Vista. How can I remedy this problem?

IE 9 javascript changes affecting previously working proxy.pac autoconfiguration scripts
proxy.pac autoconfiguration scripts have been working since IE6 up thought IE8. With IE9 portions of the script now are failing or ignored. It appears that the "DIRECT" keyword is now required to be capitalized. Our previous scripts had it as "Direct" and things worked just fine.
Can you point me to any documentation that talks specifically about changes like this to javascript in IE9? I looked at the "Features Changed in IE9" document didn't see any specifics.
